Sumi No Yohaku | 150 x 120 cm | Ink-dyed Japanese paper on handmade wooden box structures. Each module is 50 x 40 x 3 cm. The Japanese paper provides a very fine texture and the motif has a dark lead-grey matte character with some black, glossier areas. Images directly below show combination suggestions where you as a customer can choose the type of framing or placement of the motifs relative to each other. The sides of the motif are also very decorative and show traces of the various dyeing processes.
The title of the motif Sumi No Yohaku with the suffix Yohaku means the empty, unprocessed space in Japanese aesthetics.
