These works are created using mixed media, acrylic and ink on oxidized metal. The frames are handmade and have spacers from the wall to create a more sculptural feel. The iron frame is naturally lead gray and in some cases I polish the front edge which gives a bright shiny surface.

Kasanaru Kehai is Japanese for ”layers of presence.” The artwork is created on oxidized metal sheeting with acrylic and ink, with the top layers of Japanese paper mounted with bookbinding glue.
Carbo Carbonis is created outdoors with acrylic, acrylic spray, and plenty of water on oxidized sheet metal.
The frames are handmade and have wall spacers to create a more sculptural feel.
